Rough. Don't recognize any of the names, but it sucks.

... has more. Condolences to all.

What a great tragedy. My heart goes out to the families and friends of these brave climbers.
-
And the bravery of loved ones.
How much my parents worried some times, I'll never know!
But I am grateful they nurtured my love of mountains,

Am I reading this correctly? A guided party of 12 on that mountain?
Very sad to lose so many all at once.

The group was not climbing Nanda Devi proper. They were on Nanda Devi East which is about 1000' lower than the main peak.
-
It is hard to be sure of correct information, and apparently without survivors, much will never be known.
Based on last week's postings by the actual guiding company,
https://www.moran-mountain.co.uk/
the group (8 people, apparently) was setting off for a nearby, lower, unclimbed peak -- prior to the effort towards Nanda Devi East.

7 out of 8 bodies found.
I've never had to help search for deceased, and hope I never do. That would be quite tough.
May all rest in peace,
-Peter

My thoughts and prayers are with all the loved ones, families and friends of those that lost their lives. So very sorry.
