my mom's dad, he was slovenian... his relatives, would have 'wandered around' , worked, and lived, somewhere, in, around, or, between, some of YOUR pictures,
plus, i love trip and photo, reports... as we ALL do...

i recently saw one, of south texas...
different from the ones here in mich...
i have the downy-woodpecker, in my yard,
and the red-bellied-woodpecker (which i wrongly? may have thought was a 'ladder-back' ?),
and the hairy-woodpecker...
AND-- have had the northern flicker...
i have never seen the red-headed-woodpecker, or, the
pilated-woodpecker here, though ,-- they DO have the, in mich...
i am really from calif, and south texas... i never GOT to even see a woodpecker in calif, though, i had heard them on walks... mainly as to these forest birds, i saw the blue jay there...
and, south texas, the flicker...
however, ON THAT RECENT trip-- i just saw the
