Best Sunsets Evah!

@toby We're an hour and a half behind you, but when the sun set here it was a good one, too. Especially after several days of gray and rain.
-
The sunset in the post above is as good as it gets from our yard, which is surrounded by trees.
My friend Andy has no such problem, and sent me this shot, taken from his deck half an hour ago. (If it weren't for the Covid restrictions, we'd have been on the deck with him.)

Here's one from the wayback machine...
About 30 years ago on a trip through a bunch of peaks above the Nahatlach drainage (yeah, as if that means anything to you) in southwestern BC. We bagged a bunch of first ascents of mountains with names like Peak 8247or Peak 8462.
There are actually a lot of mountains like that here. Mountains in places rarely, sometimes never, visited. Mountains whose only names are their elevations.

Super cool!

OK, OK! I'll post the Best Sunset Ever From our porch, YTD.
-
@FritzRay Is that a sunset? Or the end of the world?
-
it certainly looks like fire and brimstone.
-
It happened on Jan. 4th. Maybe a sign of things to come.
-
Did a bit better job catching it this time.
And... a few moments later. Last rays of the day catch up by the bottoms of the clouds.
