Sneak Peek
-
Check out a sneak peek of the new JB...
And yes, that's 100% natural leather!
-
@ACOPA Whoa! That is a sneak of a peek. How about a larger image, eh? I do like that the loops are dual and either side of the heel/achilles, as sometimes the sticthing/sewing of mid placed ones can be a bit "scratchy". I guess also facilitates a two finger power pull for those who buy their shoes really, really tight? Heh....
-
@toby I know it... I promise more will be coming soon. We need to take some hi-res shots! And you are 100% correct about the placement of the pull-loops, btw.
-
Yo. Check it out.
-
@ACOPA Oooh, la, la!!!!
-
@toby Why, thank you!
-
We're also bringing back these babies... Recognize them?
-
Nice ACOPA! Now I need to wear out the JBs I have so I can get some new ones.
-
@ACOPA Nope. I was out of rock climbing by the time Acopa arrived on the scene so I never experienced the pleasure... Look dandy though.
-
@Scole I hope they put up a good fight! And you know, you could always keep a "spair"...
-
@toby I see... Well, tell you what: we're also working on a new version of our "Scrambler" model: a climbing shoe so comfortable you can wear it all day long!
I'll keep you posted!PS. No, it's not a slipper...
-
What do you guys think of this?
All natural leather, of course...
-
@ACOPA Sweet! A Redpoint University colors themed model. Oooh, la, la... (sorry I only ever took a bit of French, no Espanol here. Nothing polite, anyways).
Oh snap, I've not yet gotten the Redpoint Consulting Group logo modified for Redpoint University Forums. So gonna just have to take my word for it...
One thing that does come to mind though... way back in the day some climbing shoes came out w/a poor dye job which leached into your feet. Yes, literally dying climbers feet. I'd thought I recalled they were red, but maybe it was blue or green?? Hmm... so much fer' the 'ol steel trap...
In any case, reportedly the dye bleeding had to do with the specific color as they reported not having had that issue w/prior different colored production runs.
Anyone else remember these? Who even made them, and/or model? They'd gotten rave reviews in the climbing rags (wh/of course neglected to report this lest they loose ad revenue), launched off fairly well and were reportedly good shoes but the dye bleeding was pretty extensive and ultimately no amount of slick willy marketroid explanations were able to compensate for this flaw so they saw limited success.
Edit: Or not... heh.. Here's the lighter grey version. Have another just a tad darker filed away somewhere....
Regardless... Great tastes!!
-
@toby Thanks toby! Red is a great color, isn't it? They're like little sports cars!
Oh, and not to worry... Our 2020 Spectres are fully lined.
Nice job on the RPU logo, btw!
